Ingredients:

For the Steak:

2 (8 oz) prime ribeye or filet mignon steaks

1 tbsp olive oil

2 tbsp unsalted butter

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tsp fresh rosemary or thyme, chopped

Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

1 tsp Worcestershire sauce (optional, for depth of flavor)

For the Lobster Tails:

2 fresh cold-water lobster tails, split in half lengthwise

3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted

2 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

1 tbsp lemon juice

1 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped

Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

1/4 tsp smoked paprika (for a richer flavor)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Steak:
  • Remove the steaks from the refrigerator 30 minutes before cooking to bring them to room temperature.
  • Season both sides generously with salt and black pepper.
  • Heat a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil.
  • Sear the steaks for 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness.
  • In the last minute of cooking, reduce heat to low and add butter, garlic, rosemary or thyme, and Worcestershire sauce. Baste the steaks with the melted butter using a spoon.
  • Remove from heat and let rest for 5-10 minutes, tented with foil.
  1. Prepare the Lobster Tails:
  • Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • Place the lobster tails on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • In a bowl, mix melted butter, garlic, red pepper flakes, smoked paprika, lemon juice, and parsley.
  • Brush the lobster tails generously with the butter mixture and season with salt and pepper.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the lobster meat is opaque and tender.
  • Drizzle with extra lemon juice before serving.
  1. Assemble and Serve:
  • Plate the steak with a dollop of compound butter on top.
  • Serve alongside the lobster tails, roasted asparagus, and creamy garlic mashed potatoes.
  • Garnish with additional parsley and a lemon wedge for a refined finish.
